California Trip

For the Thanksgiving break we took a trip out to California.  My Grandma had turned 90 the week before.  We had all decided to converge upon the state in celebration of her and to have our first family reunion in over 8 years.  We went early to have some time with Dale's parents and do some of the stuff we missed last time in CA.

The kids were very excited to be in San Francisco, CA.

Awesome Summer Adventures

This year as we were planning our summer I decided that I would go out to Utah before our Wills family reunion to spend some time with my family.  I planned to go out a week early and let the boys go to a BYU basketball camp and enjoy some family time.  As the time came closer I decided to head out a week earlier so that we could drop Mark off at BYU to start school.  This would make a total of 3 weeks that I planned to be in Utah.

This year Mark graduated.

Playing Catch Up

 It has been a very busy year.  I have had a hard time keeping up on what is going on around here.  This was a particularly long cold winter.  We had over 3 consecutive weeks in sub zero temperature.  The kids had school cancelled 5-6 times due to cold, not snow.  We also had snow piling up when it got warm enough to snow.

Dale and the boys built a quinsy.  The plan was to sleep in it, but they never go it to that stage.  They had a great time building it.  I did have to point out that maybe only one at a time should use the door.

Caribbean Christmas

This year for Christmas we decided we wanted to take a big trip with the kids.  After trying to narrow our options, because it's a big world out there, we decided on a cruise. It simplified things a bit since  all we had to do was plan shore excursions.  The one must was somewhere warm.  We decided to go to the Caribbean.

Family Pictures

We got to spend a wonderful summer with Tate and Elaine living with us.  About a week before they left I realized that this could be the last time we would be together as a family for quite a while.  We decided to throw together some family pictures.  I set the camera up on a tripod and adjusted where I wanted people.  Denise pushed the button for me.  Some of the pictures came out great others not so much, but they are fun to look at.
