Playing Catch Up

It has been a very busy year.  I have had a hard time keeping up on what is going on around here.  This was a particularly long cold winter.  We had over 3 consecutive weeks in sub zero temperature.  The kids had school cancelled 5-6 times due to cold, not snow.  We also had snow piling up when it got warm enough to snow.

Dale and the boys built a quinsy.  The plan was to sleep in it, but they never go it to that stage.  They had a great time building it.  I did have to point out that maybe only one at a time should use the door.

This is what happens when you have more snow to shovel than you can manage.

This was Mark's last year on the Nordic ski team.  Several meets were cancelled due to dangerous conditions and wind chill.

Another MN spring break.  Feels like spring!

Good times with friends.

Letting off a bit of energy.

Brother's are awesome!

Jared came home from school one day to tell me all about Michael Angelo.  He wanted to try painting on his back just like the artist.

This year Joe and Grant were on the same basketball team.  It was wonderful!! They typically had 2 games a Saturday.  It was pure bliss to sit and enjoy the games knowing we didn't have to hurry to the next game or make sure we were watching equal time.

Joe and Grant were into the bright colored socks.

This year we actually had the privilege of Grandma and Grandpa Wills coming out for Easter weekend.  We almost never have family around for holidays so it was a double treat.

The kids had a great time playing games at the park.

Who doesn't have fun when their Dad twirls them around?

It was a perfect kite flying day.

Joe got the job to launch the kite.

If the kite must find a tree at least it found a small one.

Grant played baseball for St. Stephens this year and skipped the city league.  Turns out due to weather they only played about 5 games.  He was sad he didn't play city too.

Jared decided to play baseball this year.  I was a bit nervous since the last time he played was not the best experience.  This year ended up to be much better.  He really enjoyed himself, although he informed me he doesn't want to do it again.

The red cleats were a must.

Erin went to prom this year.  She looked gorgeous.
