Back in the fall, Jared heard Dale mention how it would be fun to raise some pheasants. Once Jared heard, Dale was committed! Jared has been asking about once a week, at least, when we would get the pheasants. We are finally "warming" up and getting to the point we need to seriously consider building something to house them in. Dale has done quite a bit of research on them. They will be interesting birds to try and raise. They startle easy and it may give them a heart attack. Great! Hopefully we have some still alive when they are ready to release. We decided that it might be fun to have some egg laying chickens after the pheasants. Jared is very excited. Saturday was our day to start on the coop. Jared was hoping it would all be done within an hour. It was a "beautiful" day for it, low 40s and raining. I had envisioned taking lots of fun pictures throughout the day. This was the only one I took. It was very cold and I had to take my gloves off to get my phone to work. We also burned out two drills. We couldn't find the good one, the garage is a mess with the remodel. Guess now we can throw those two away and make a little room on the shelf.
Erin informed me on Saturday that she would have nothing to do with this project. She won't clean it, feed them or get the eggs. Betcha can't guess who gets to clean it first.
Mark asked a friend to Prom on Thursday. He personally made the flower suckers. He was very excited, then slightly nervous, then excited when she said yes.
Friday the trim guys were here installing.... yup you guessed it, trim. One of the guys shed a couple layers after getting here and left it on the kitchen counter. Wasn't that nice, it felt like having one of the kids home all day.
